The buses depart The Heights School promptly at 5:30 pm and drop off at four locations in accordance with the schedule. Due to dynamic traffic conditions times above are approximate. Parents are notified that the student is onboard just a few minutes before departure, and are asked to meet the buses when they arrive at their drop off stops.
Families are asked to meet their son(s) at the time of drop off. Students being dropped off at a library may wait there for their rides inside the library, if necessary. (Library hours here).
The cost of a single daily trip is $11.50. Tickets on account from the previous year carry forward to this year, as if bought at the new price.
Payment for bus trips is accomplished online by the purchase of tickets representing a set number of rides that you determine. Tickets may be purchased here. These tickets are good for the entire year.
Please go to the ticket purchase page here. You will see an email entry form on the page. Please enter the email you previously used to purchase tickets, and we will send an automated email with your ticket purchases.
Though the online method of purchase is preferred, tickets may be purchased by cash or check through the Business Office.
No, as long as you have purchased a ticket, all that a rider needs to do is board the bus and let the driver know he is present. A ticket will be subtracted electronically from your ticket balance and an email sent to let you know the number of tickets remaining.
Either the friend will need to purchase a ticket to ride, or your ticket balance will be deducted for the extra ride.
You must still purchase a ticket in order to use the Late Activities Bus, as the cost of the service is independent from that of the regular bus.
Yes. Please call the Business Office to make that arrangement. The fee would depend on whether you are currently signed up for the regular after-school bus or not.
The service will run as usual, departing The Heights School at 5:30 pm.
The school follows Montgomery County Public Schools. In the event of an early dismissal or closure the service will be cancelled for that day.
