Senior Diaz-Bonilla Wins Gatorade Player of Year for Maryland

Heights Senior Daniel Diaz-Bonilla ’19 was named the 2019 Gatorade Maryland Boys Soccer Player of the Year. He is the first Heights student-athlete to be awarded this honor. Head Varsity Soccer Coach Colin Gleason commented, “Daniel’s season was other-level. He combines the fantastic and rare combination of amazing ability and incredible work ethic. I’m very proud of him for receiving this award, but even more so for all of the work he put in to genuinely earn it. He’s a special player and a fantastic young man.” Daniel will be attending Princeton University this Fall and playing on their Soccer team. Here is the official press release from Gatorade.
