Intellectual

  • Review all classes
  • Study or do homework 2-3 hours per day
  • Computer in bedroom? Get it out!
  • Overall goals for the year

Moral

  • Review cardinal virtues: prudence, justice, fortitude, and temperance. Goals to improve on them.
  • Heroic minute
  • Limit the amount of TV and vid

Spiritual

  • What the school offers: Mass and Confession
  • Daily Visits to Blessed Sacrament
  • Morning offering

Physical

  • Extracurricular Sports: Try a new sport this year
  • Personal appearance and grooming
  • Become really good at one sport

Intellectual

  • Review class by class progress
  • Read an article from the newspaper every day
  • Identify strengths and weaknesses in writing skill

Moral

  • Check quality of movies before seeing them–no matter what!
  • Don’t do something you like until homework is done
  • Look out for your friends. Have they become better because they know you?

Physical

  • Extracurricular

  • Work-out routine for the year: sit-ups, push-ups, running, lifting, etc. See Mr. Lively if you need ideas

  • Read an article from the Economist or some other periodical of that level.

Moral

  • Do chores cheerfully and on time without being asked
  • Discussion about holy purity
  • The importance of not being self-centered or arrogant. The value of humility.
  • Strength of will. Are you able to say and do the right thing?

  • Extracurricular

  • Trying hard and not caving in easily
