Description and Objectives
This course will expose the students to the great, mostly first-hand accounts of conquests in world literature. Some of the sources will be in the form of prose memoirs. One epic poem from the 16th century will be included. By the time the course has reached its end, the student will have a very good understanding of conquest and the consequences that follow.
