Commencement 2023

See where the new alumni are headed!

On Sunday, June 4th, the 50th Heights School commencement ceremony was held in the now air conditioned gym! Sixty-four young men joined the ranks of Heights alumni. Former Congressman Mike Ferguson, Heights Board Member and father of Jack ’16 and Joseph ’23 gave the commencement address. Look for more coverage in the upcoming summer Cavalcade!

The class featured two record numbers- twenty-five lifers (students who have attended since 3rd grade) and four sons of alumni.

For the majority of the new alumni, the next step is college. They will be attending Catholic University (13 grads) Notre Dame (5), Franciscan University of Steubenville (5), University of Dallas (4), Virginia Tech (4), Maryland (3), West Point (2), Montgomery College (2), Northern Virginia Community College (2), American University, Arizona State, Ave Maria,  Christendom, Fordham, Holy College College, Illinois, James Madison University, the Naval Academy, the University of Navarra, Ohio Wesleyan,  Princeton, Purdue, University of San Fransisco, Scranton, Texas A&M,  Thomas Aquinas College (Massachusetts Campus), the University of Virginia, Villanova, and Williams College. A few others will take a gap year.

In college, one alumnus will play Division III Baseball at Ave Maria, one will play Division I basketball at Virginia Tech, one will dive at the Naval Academy, one hopes to play football at Catholic, one will swim at Fordham, and two will play Division III lacrosse at Williams and Ohio Wesleyan respectively.

The class of 2023 is also highly dedicated to serving others with three alumni heading to service academies- two to West Point and one to Navy, three participating in ROTC- one Air Force and two Navy, and one enlisting in the Army. Another is joining a two year missionary program.

The entire faculty is so proud of the many achievements of the Class of 2023 and especially of their leadership during the past year.
