About Lucas

Mr. Lopes was born in São Paulo, Brazil. He moved to the United States at the age of 12 and has since lived in Cleveland, Washington D.C., Dallas, and New York. He graduated from The Heights in 2010 and went on to study History at the University of Dallas. Prior to his return the Heights, Lucas worked for the Crotona Achievement Center where he directed a variety of tutoring and character development programs for inner-city boys. He teaches Freshman Core and 6th Grade Religion. In addition to teaching at the Heights, he organizes some of the activities at Tenley Study Center like Club Garrison and helps with the rock climbing club.
