Kevin Strother brings extensive training and experience to his role as music director of The Heights. He has studied and performed with the American Institute of Musical Studies in Graz, Austria and the opera workshop of Brevard Music Center, and held one of three visiting artist positions for the state of North Carolina. The North Carolina native holds a bachelor of music degree in vocal performance from Appalachian State University, a master’s of music from the University of Arizona, and his D.M.A. from The Catholic University of America. In addition to his classroom work, Dr. Strother established The Heights’ award-winning Men’s Chorus in 1996, and directs the School’s bands. He also maintains a busy performance career and is on the Voice faculty at The Catholic University of America.
