Joe LaHood, graduate of The Heights ’02, has been teaching at the Heights for 13 years. He currently teaches 3rd grade, 5th grade History, and 6th grade Craftsmanship. He previously was a public school teacher in the South Bronx, NYC, where he taught 8th grade History. He has a BA in History from Providence College and a Masters in Special Education from Fordham University. Joe enjoys a variety of sports and has enjoyed coaching 6th grade tennis for the past few years. Joe and his wife, Natalie, also run St. Joseph’s House, a residential respite and summer daycare serving children with disabilities. Joe and Natalie have 5 children and live in Hyattsville, MD.
