2018-2019 Fundraising Recap

Record Year for Alumni!

The 2018-2019 fiscal year was truly historic for Heights alumni. To all my fellow alumni who donated, thank you for your support and generosity. We achieved new records in both the numbers of donors and in total dollars donated.

$124,083 were contributed over the course of the fiscal year (July 1-June 30) by 328 alumni, 48 more donors than last year. This was also the first year in which more alumni contributed to the school than current parents.

What does this mean for our alma mater? Well, thanks to the generosity of alumni, the school will have additional funds for need-based financial aid and to support the faculty along with curricular programs, fine arts, and athletics. As our Alumni Association grows, we provide an essential backbone to The Heights and brighten her future.

Each year The Heights counts on the generosity of alumni, friends, and parents to operate. Tuition does not cover the full cost of attendance. There is no endowment and with 49% of families on some level of financial aid, donations are critical. The Heights is making a difference for the world one young man at a time, we as alumni help make this possible.

The school also received at least one donation from every class 19752019 except 1991. This widespread support is a testament to the lasting impact of a Heights education.

A new year means new opportunities for giving back. If you would like to be more involved or get your class more involved for 2019-2020, please let me know with an email to jcallahan@heights.edu.

If you were not able to donate in 2018-2019, consider setting up a monthly gift or plan to give before the end of the calendar year (December 31st). Right now we have 44 monthly alumni donors from 22 different classes. Even a small monthly gift is a big help.  You can make a gift here.

This fall we begin our celebrations of the 50th Anniversary of The Heights, don’t miss the Alumni Weekend celebration in October. Click here for details.
