In their inaugural season as members of the WCAC, The Heights Cross Country Team placed 5th out of 11 teams at the Conference Championships. Senior Tony Crnkovich came in 6th place overall, and was awarded First Team All-Conference honors.

The team followed that up by winning the Montgomery County Private School Championships with three runners making the All-County Team (Crnkovich, Joe McClorey, and Luke McClorey). Cross country closed their season out with a 4th place team finish at the Maryland Private School State Championship, the team’s best place since joining the Large School Division. Tony Crnkovich continued his successful senior campaign by placing 9th overall and earning a spot on the All-State team.

The future of Heights Cross Country looks very bright. Last week, the Middle School Team won first place at the Maryland State Middle School Championships. The Heights had three runners finish in the top ten, and five in the top fifteen
