Other Ways to Give

Give through your IRA or Donor Advised Fund

IRA Distributions

If you are age 70 ½ or older, you can donate up to $100,000 to The Heights School directly from a traditional or Roth IRA. Such a qualified charitable distribution will count towards your required minimum distribution and serve as a qualified charitable distribution.

The amount of the QCD is limited to the amount of the distribution that would otherwise be included in income. If your IRA includes nondeductible contributions, the distribution is first considered to be paid out of otherwise taxable income.

Contact your IRA custodian to complete the transfer.

Donor Advised Funds

You can donate to The Heights School from your Donor-Advised Fund. A donor advised fund (DAF), which is like a charitable savings account, gives you the flexibility to recommend how much and how often money is granted to The Heights School and other qualified charities. You can recommend a grant or recurring grants now to make an immediate impact or use your fund as a tool for future charitable gifts.
