NEXT MEETING:  Every TUESDAY in room 22 at 12:50  during the school year.

ALL SATURDAYS (8:30am – 9:30am) FOOD DISTRIBUTION AT ST STEPHEN’S PANTRY (8-12 gr.)
St. Joseph’s Pantry at the Shrine of Saint Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church (Rockville) needs volunteers to help distribute food to individual families. Volunteers from various local schools help load food packages into personal vehicles from 08:30 – 10:30 am on most Saturday mornings. If you would like to volunteer please sign up >>here<<.

SHARE Food Distribution.  Saturday, 28 Sep, 26 Oct, 23 Nov, and 21 Dec. 2024.  Early day! Hard working day! Warehouse work! We will help with the early-morning distribution of tons of food being sent to many local charities.  Dads are welcome!  If you would like to volunteer please sign up >>here<<

CARMEL of JMJ Fairfield Project. (Saturday 19 October) (7:00am – 6:00pm) (8-12gr.) Help prepare for the dedication Mass at the monastery chapel for the Carmelites of Fairfield Pennsylvania on October 19th. This is an ongoing  ambitious construction project for the Carmelites in rural Pennsylvania (just a few miles from the Maryland border). FALL GARDEN CLEANUP PROJECT (08:30am – 5:00pm) (9 November)(8-12gr.)
Calling all gardeners!  Rakers, leaf blowers, bush pruners!  The Religious Sisters of Mercy of Alma, MI. need our help at their convent in Clinton, MD.  This property is an extensive wooded country setting with a grove of large oak trees at the ‘front’ of the property.  Tasks include leaf removal, hedge pruning and fallen tree removal.  We will depart The Heights at 08:30 and return at around 5:00pm.  Lunch will be provided.  Dads welcome!  Please sign up >>here!<<

THANKSGIVING Food Drive (18 – 26 November) (3-12 gr.)
We are collecting dry and canned (non-perishable) food donations for St. Stephen’s Food Pantry in Rockville, MD.  Our goals is 3 lbs. per student!  Please place donations in the bins at the 2nd Floor Chapel entry.  The donations will be delivered to the Pantry during the Thanksgiving break.   Thank you!

BOXES OF JOY –  (TBD in  November)(6-12gr.)
We are partnering with the Knights of Columbus and Cross Catholic Outreach to send holiday gift boxes to boys in Central America.  We need volunteers to pack the boxes on Monday 4 November during the lunch period.  After the boxes are packed they will be delivered to the collection site.

TURKEY DELIVERY (21 November 2024) (4:00pm -7:00pm.) (9-12gr)
We will be receiving more than 3000 lbs. of turkeys from the supplier.   We need a crew of 8 able bodied volunteers to load the turkeys on to the trailer, and then deliver them to the Food Pantry.   We will depart from the Heights at 4:00pm and return at around 7:00pm.  Please sign up >>here!<<

TURKEY DISTRIBUTION (8:00am – 9:30am) (23 November 2024) (8-12 gr.)
We will distribute the turkeys at St. Stephen’s Food Pantry.  We will help the clients load turkeys and other food into their vehicles.  A crew of 8 able bodied volunteers is needed.  Arrive directly at the pantry at 08:00 and depart at 9:30. Please sign up >> here!<<
