Learn to draw and paint like a true artist! This camp is tailored to beginner artists, helping them to develop an eye for the work of the masters by learning and employing the same techniques. By the end of the week, your child will have learned about five master artists and five essential techniques to employ in his or her own artistic career!
Learn about the following artists: Prehistoric cave artists, Bernini, Cassatt, Matisse, Mondrian
Learn about the following techniques: stencils/masks & contour drawing, sculpting faces, monotype printing, collage, geometric & abstract art
Each day will include 3 15-minute video lessons:
- Introduction to the artist and technique of the day
- Getting Started: We will review the needed supplies, sample of a finished product, and the first steps of instruction. We will be creating art together. You can pause the recorded lesson at any time to keep up with the steps.)
- Wrap It Up (a review of the process, helpful tips for improving or fixing mistakes, and final thoughts)
