About Thomas

Thomas Treadwell is an established basketball Coach, with over twenty-five (25) years of experience with being an accomplished High School player to a Semi-Professional Basketball player. He embodies the passion and dedication to the sport, understanding that these experiences have afforded him the opportunity to develop his skills as a player, mentor, and coach. When not being a Physical Education Teacher at Holy Cross Middle School, Thomas prides himself on improving the efficiencies of programs of young children to adult players. In doing so, he implements comprehensive training and practices motivating players to achieve goals, while also prioritizing and strategizing for a successful and winning school athletic program.

Basketball History

A three-year varsity starter at Good Counsel High School where he was captain for 2 years and voted All-Met, also made the Capital Classic All-Star team his senior year. Thomas played college basketball at Alleghany Community College and was named the Junior College Best Small Forward on the East Coast (Street and Smith)- 1993, Most Valuable Player- 1994-1995, Second Team All Junior College- 1994-1995. After leaving Alleghany he attended American University where he was Captain from 1996-1997, Second Team All CAA and received a Pigskin Club of Washington DC, Award in Recognition for Leadership- 1997. His senior year 1998 he decided to pursue basketball professionally in (ABA) American Basketball Association Semi-Professional Basketball League for the Delaware Blue Bombers and Washington DC Colonials. The next professional experience was in the European Basketball Association Professional Basketball League where he played on (CBT) Club Basketball Tarragona (Spain)-1999, Dublin, Ireland- 2002.

Coaching Experience

Thomas began his Coaching Career with a U10 team that opened the doors for further experiences in private high schools and the collegiate level.
