HEIGHTSCAST Stop Telling Your Son to Read: How to Inspire a Love of Reading

In this episode, third grade teacher, Mr. Tom Longano, shares his experience on how to foster a love of reading in his students.

Tom Longano graduated from the Heights in 2011.  In 2015, he graduated from the University of St Andrews with a first-class honours degree in Philosophy.  He has taken courses in Literature and the Liberal Arts at Notre Dame, Oxford, and in London, and has also had the pleasure of experiencing first-hand the diverse cultures of Western Europe during his travels as a student in Scotland.  His time abroad has deepened his appreciation for the outstanding and unique education he received at The Heights, and he is delighted to return and teach in the Lower School.  He also looks forward to helping with drama productions, having done many plays at the Heights and in college.
