The Heights is excited to announce plans to update both athletic fields and construct a new music building.
The upper athletic field will feature artificial turf with a storm water retention and treatment system. This field will be separated from the completely reconstructed natural grass baseball field by a 28ft. x 400ft. retaining wall, a Heights version of Fenway Park’s famed “Green Monster.” The reconfigured baseball field will offer our athletes natural grass, a deeper right field fence, and a new backstop.
Nearly half of all Heights students participate in the School’s music program. For the past twenty years, the program has operated in a modular building originally intended as a temporary unit. The new music building, to be located on the same footprint as the previous modular building, will provide the facilities that our music program needs to continue to flourish. It features a main rehearsal room with a vaulted ceiling designed for concert hall quality acoustics, as well as soundproofed practice and ensemble rooms.
The new fields and music facility, along with the many benefits they will bring to our students, are made possible by the incredible generosity of members of The Heights community. A $3 million capital campaign called the Campus Campaign is underway to raise funds for these much-needed improvements.
