Event Speakers

 

Vytas Maginnis began his financial services career with Dean and Scott shortly before they joined Merrill Lynch in 2006. Skilled at making complex financial concepts accessible, he arms clients with the information they need to make good financial decisions. He focuses on integrating equity awards and other benefits into a comprehensive financial plan that reflects his clients’ values. Vytas is a graduate of The Heights School and Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. He lives in Virginia with his wife Anne-Marie and their five children.

Michael Bailey, CFA, is Director of Research and Investment Committee Chair for FBB Capital Partners, a boutique Washington, D.C.-area, investing firm. Mike’s stock picking and portfolio management process uses behavioral finance techniques stemming from the work of Nobel laureates Daniel Kahneman (author of Thinking Fast and Slow) and Richard Thaler (author of Nudge). He served as principal and equity research analyst for Legg Mason and held positions at Bear Sterns and Raymond James.

Michael’s financial insights and analysis have been featured in appearances on CNBC, Fox Business Network, NPR, and Bloomberg Radio, as well as in the Wall Street Journal, CNN.com, Forbes, Kiplinger, Barron’s, and The Washington Post. Michael earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from Emory University, and a Master of Arts in International Economics and MBA from Johns Hopkins University. Michael is a CFA Charterholder and a member of the CFA Society of Washington, D.C. Michael and his wife Maria live in Potomac, Maryland with their five children.
